Pile connectors

If it is necessary to use longer foundation piles, the solution used by Centrum Pali consists of mechanical connectors that are installed together with the piles at the prefabrication stage. Among such solutions, the connectors we use are among the most durable and able to transfer the highest loads.

Class A pile connectors

Class A connectors, manufactured in accordance with PN EN 12794, constitute a pressure connection for pile segments, prevent water penetration and protect against corrosion factors. Ongoing technological development and research have allowed the creation of a new generation of Class A connectors.

One-pin class D connectors

Class D connectors, manufactured with equally high requirements, are reserved for piles with cross-sections of 200/250/300 mm. This is a more economical solution compared to the previous one and is used in cases where lateral loads do not matter.

The primary use of mechanical pile joints is to combine certain structure elements, whose original length is dictated by the production capacity. This eliminates one of the most restricting constraints of prefabricated elements, allowing for greater freedom when it comes to implementing various construction projects. Installation of components also becomes simpler, with a benefit of being a better fit to the current generation of machinery.

The benefits do not end here, as utilizing mechanical pile joints ensures an easier time with both the production logistics and the installation of precast elements. This is especially crucial for transportation, as they can shorten the products, which makes the need for unusual shipment conditions less likely to occur. Additionally, from the manufacturer’s perspective, the possibility to limit the length of necessary forms and the load capacity of gantries in the precast production facility is a great benefit. When combined together, it all translates into lowering the costs of the entire undertaking.
